The contents of this discussion are pertaining to a 1923 Dodge Brothers Opera Coupe that was restored by my father during the period from 1962 through 1969. He purchased the car sometime around 1960 for $250.00 and spent seven years doing a complete ground up restoration. Upon completion of the restoration project in the summer of 1969, the car was entered into the "Old Car Festival" at Greenfield Village (Dearborn Michigan) and won "Grand Champion". It has also won additional awards at AACA events which will be listed at a later date. The car is still in the same family to this day, and has been preserved very well over the years.

The car has a special semi-custom Lang body that required extensive wood and sheet metal fabrication during the restoration process. Researching the Lang body company reveals that it became independent from Baker and Rauch in 1920, and eventually went out of business in 1924. The company provided bodies to Dodge and Lincoln during this period in time, and was located in Cleveland Ohio.
